The Philosopher’s Way
In Heidelberg, Germany, there is trail called Philosophenweg, Philosopher’s Way. I never made it to the top, which is supposed to be a giant outdoor amphitheater, reminiscent of the stages the Greek philosophers would teach from, but it was a beautiful hike.
This was one of my first solo trips in Germany. Traveling alone is so strange. It’s almost eerie. There’s so much to take in, but it all seems to be happening in your head without a partner to externally process the experience with. It feels like being a lone audience member in an immersive movie.
It’s been almost four years since I left, and sometimes it all feels like a dream. If it weren’t for these videos, it would have been like it never happened at all.
I didn’t mean to make this video so spooky, but it actually is an accurate representation of how it feels to remember this time of my life.
